The Student Health Fee covers offerings available through NIU Health Services, which provides a level of basic outpatient health care similar to what you might find at an urgent care facility or your primary care physician’s office.

- General medical care, including cold, fever, flu, respiratory infections, minor injuries
- Immunizations
- NIU-required physical exams
- Referrals to specialists
- Sexual health, including screening for sexually transmitted diseases, contraception, pap smears, PrEP and PEP
- Telepsychiatry
